Stash Busting

Hello Friends...I've been in a bit of a stash busting mode lately, trying to use up bits and bobs of yarn before going out and purchasing new yarn.  Dishcloths are the perfect small item to take care of the task.  Plus they are quick, fun and easy.  Check out my latest multi-colour creation...

Cotton Crochet

Hello Friends...so I recently ordered this great crochet book online called The Complete Photo Guide to Crochet, by Margaret Hubert.  It's amazing, over 200 stitch pattens with great photos.  I tried a couple simple patterns out with some left over cotton yarn, and made these cute dishcloths:

I also recently saw this cute bath scrubbie pattern on Ravelry.  I used some extra organic cotton yarn I'd previously used for a scarf.  I think this little scrubbie is just so adorable, and bright and cheery:

Second Hand Find

Hello Friends...

Things have been quite busy lately, with settling into our new home and all.  The kids are at home with me for the duration of the summer...just under 3 weeks left until school starts (but who's counting).  So, just a quick post today to show you what I found down at a local second hand store we discovered while out on a walk yesterday.  I'm loving blue and white lately...and I was lucky enough to come across this sweet little milk pitcher/creamer for a whopping $5!!  Anyway, here are some pics. of my lovely new creamer...

 Here it is, all sweet with its beautiful flowers.

It would make a great flower vase...this was a bunch of dried lavender that I brought from my garden from our old house.

I found this photo on the camera, that my 5 year old took...not a bad shot of our dining area, with the afternoon sun coming in from our yard.

Spring Has Sprung, At Least Indoors...

Hello there, spring has finally sprung, at least it has indoors in my home. It's been a pretty cold and snowy month of March in my corner of Canada...(Toronto). Let's hope all the snow melts this weekend and we can look forward to some tulips popping up in the garden. For now, we'll have to enjoy these lovely tulips indoors. Hope your weekend brings lots of springy warmth and sunshine.
