Granny Fun...
Slouchy Beanie
I finished off my Slouchy Beanie and I think it turned out so cute. It's a little heavy, so I shortened the length a bit.
It’s most likely because I used pure wool, which make is pretty warm...great
for those really cold days.
The pattern again for this cute hat is by Vickie Howell and can be found here.
The front.
The back.
Up close of the cute puffs.

Cosy Cowl
So, I've been on an outerwear kick lately...a simple crochet cowl done in the round. It's super bulky, cosy, yet lightweight...this one is going to be a custom order for my shop.
I need more warm hats...
So folks, this is what we're dealing with today...winter is finally here! Yippee!
I've been inspired to try out this adorable crocheted slouchy beanie I found on Ravelry...it's by Vickie Howell for CARON, and it's called Urban Jungle. Isn't it just so cute? I'll keep you posted on my efforts...my potted rosemary is still doing well:
Crochet Flower Coaster :: Free Pattern
Supplies for Flower Coaster:
I used some leftover Lion Brand Cotton Ease for this project. You could use any cotton yarn of your choice. Hook size is 4.5 mm for this yarn, but again, go with whatever hook size your yarn specifies. My coasters measure approx. 4.5 inches in diameter; the size is up to you, but I find this to be a nice large size...it suitable for glasses, mugs, hand soap pumps, etc.

Holidays are over...
Well, everyone will back at school after the holidays and life returns to normal. It was nice to spend time with family and friends, but I am spent! We did lots of visiting and even more entertaining. It will be difficult to get up at our regular time tomorrow, as we've been spoiled by sleeping in everyday.
The weather has been cool, but pleasant...which means that I am still in need of my hat. I made this last month, but just didn't have time to get a good shot of it...it certainly has gotten good use and looks cute on:
